Chapter 107: The Secret Technique of the Sharingan
As Minato sealed away his memories, Uchiha Li and Kakashi had already returned to the present.
Gazing upon the desolate ruins of Loulan before them, Kakashi sighed softly, “I never imagined something like this would happen on this trip.”
Though not much time had passed since their journey to the past, what had transpired was increasingly unbelievable with each event.
Even though Kakashi tried his best to remain calm and silent, his heart refused to settle.
Especially at the end, when his teacher Minato actually called out his name.
Thinking of this, Kakashi asked uncertainly, “Li, do you think sensei has recognized me now?”
Uchiha Li nodded, “I believe so. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have forgotten everything except for the notes about Terra in his notebook.”
From the state of the notebook, it was clear that Minato had completely forgotten Terra over the years.
Moreover, Akyou Dingo and Aburame Shibi, who had accompanied Minato then, as well as the younger Kakashi present on the mission, all lacked any memory of Terra.
This only proved one thing: Minato chose to seal away those memories, just as in the original story.
The reason needed no explanation—Minato feared that knowing too much would affect Kakashi, and perhaps many others’ futures.
After all, Minato was a master of space-time ninjutsu; he was surely aware of the time paradoxes.
Listening to Uchiha Li’s explanation, Kakashi gradually understood.
Yet precisely because of this understanding, he fell into silence.
After a long moment, Kakashi finally spoke, “Can we tell sensei about Terra? I don’t want to keep it from him.”
Uchiha Li pondered for a moment before replying, “Not yet. Terra has its own rules.”
Kakashi opened his mouth to argue, but Uchiha Li patted his shoulder earnestly:
“Kakashi, I understand your inner conflict, but I hope you can accept this.”
“Terra poses no threat to the village; if it did, things wouldn’t be like this now, right?”
Kakashi met Uchiha Li’s gaze, his expression solemn, yet he did not object.
He understood Li’s meaning; the very fact that he stood here unharmed was proof enough.
“Good that you understand,” Li continued, “sometimes it’s better to keep some things hidden. If the village ever faces danger, Terra might even be able to stop you from intervening.”
“Alright, I trust you,” Kakashi said without hesitation.
Uchiha Li nodded with satisfaction, but he knew words alone weren’t enough; the contract with Terra must be used to bind the promise.
With this in mind, Li said, “I’ll speak with the leader soon. When the time comes, be ready.”
Kakashi nodded, about to say something more when a figure appeared in the distance.
“Li-kun, Kakashi-san!”
It was Sara—more precisely, the grown-up Sara.
She approached quickly, greeting them warmly.
Kakashi instinctively touched his face as he looked at the younger Sara they had met not long ago.
Uchiha Li glanced at Sara’s still pale fingers, feeling slightly awkward. “Long time no see, Sara…”
*The Legend of Senmu*
Before coming here, he never imagined experiencing such things.
But now, looking back, everything formed a perfect cycle.
Time was so precise, yet utterly unreasonable.
He had made a promise to Sara in the past, so Sara waited here.
Bringing Kakashi along seemed like Minato’s sudden decision, but it was something destined to happen.
Without Kakashi, Minato would not recognize him, nor seal away memories to protect him.
And if memories weren’t sealed, would this journey to the Dragon Vein have even occurred?
None of this could be explained deeply—perhaps it was fate.
Too philosophical, Uchiha Li chose to abandon the thought.
Sara’s gaze fixed intently on Uchiha Li as she spoke, “Li-kun, it seems you understand everything now.”
“Yes,” Li replied without contradiction.
Because it was thanks to Sara that he had so smoothly obtained the Dragon Vein, he would fulfill his promise.
Resettling the people of Loulan was no great challenge.
After all, Konoha was not just ninjas; many ordinary villagers lived there.
This kind of matter could be handled by Uchiha Fugaku’s side.
Right now, the greatest concern was Sara herself.
For some reason, she seemed to have misunderstood certain things.
As expected.
Sara’s face lit up with a joyful smile as she said eagerly, “Then let’s hurry home—I can hardly wait.”
“…”
…
In a small town near the border of the Land of Wind, an independent rental courtyard awaited them.
Uchiha Li had rented this place for Kakashi and Sara to stay for the night.
Sara was not a ninja; she couldn’t keep pace with them, so they had to travel at a normal walking speed.
Li felt uneasy about taking Sara back to the village quickly; he sensed something bad might happen.
So he rented the courtyard—slowing their return to the village while preparing for Kakashi to enter Terra.
After dinner in the courtyard, Uchiha Li returned to his room.
Locking the door behind him, he activated his Mangekyo Sharingan and opened the teleportation array to Terra.
Soon, he appeared within the Terra world.
Thanks to the progress of its revival, more and more of Terra’s realm had revealed itself.
Aside from the towering Apostle Hall at its center was Uchiha Li’s laboratory zone.
Nearby was an area where Grell’s mineral veins accumulated.
And now, beside the Grell veins, a brand-new region had taken root—the relocated Dragon Vein.
“First, I need to figure out how to get Kakashi in properly.”
Li didn’t concern himself with the Dragon Vein—it was reserved for his future challenges and remained untouched.
His priority was getting Kakashi into Terra to become the Apostle’s successor, thus binding the contract.
Normally, he could use the template of the Shisui contract to open a portal and let Kakashi enter before forming the contract.
But this time, he wanted to appear as the leader, not himself.
Therefore, he could not appear beside Kakashi, or else his disguise would be ruined.
The problem was that Terra’s teleportation required the recipient to be an Apostle.
This created a deadlock he needed to break.
After much thought, Uchiha Li frowned, unable to find a good solution.
Then suddenly, he remembered a secret technique.
With this technique, he could remotely open a portal and allow someone who was not a Terra Apostle to enter.
And the prerequisite was possessing the Sharingan—a condition he perfectly met…
