Volume 1, Chapter 3: Collecting Three-Tails Chakra

Sasuke Uchiha kept murmuring those words under his breath.

Then he lifted his murky gaze to Feng Tian and went on, "Are you saying that this stone tablet, passed down through the Uchiha clan for generations, was actually meant to revive Kaguya Otsutsuki?"

"And who exactly is this Kaguya Otsutsuki?"

Feng Tian answered, "Yes. The true contents of the tablet can no longer be known. As for Kaguya Otsutsuki, she is an utterly terrifying existence. Even at your peak, you would not be her match..."

"Oh? There is someone in this world stronger than both me and Hashirama? I would very much like to see that for myself..."

After hearing Feng Tian's description of Kaguya Otsutsuki, Uchiha Madara became interested as well. A rare spark of fighting spirit flashed through those deathly eyes.

Seeing that things seemed to be drifting off course, Feng Tian repeatedly spoke up and, after much persuasion, finally managed to bring Uchiha Madara back around.

With matters restored to their proper path, Feng Tian explained his plan to Uchiha Madara.

First, he would capture the tailed beasts and steadily increase his own power. With each beast he captured, his ocular power would grow stronger.

From the experience of the previous reincarnations, if he wanted to restore Uchiha Madara to his peak condition for a long period by means of cause before effect, he would need the power of at least three tailed beasts.

So he intended to overturn Madara's original plan and instead use Obito to gather a group of experts to capture the tailed beasts directly.

Once the number of tailed beasts exceeded three, the entire shinobi world would be facing Uchiha Madara in his prime.

At present, Senju Hashirama and Senju Tobirama were already dead. The only thing that could still threaten Uchiha Madara was probably Orochimaru's Impure World Reincarnation.

In other words, so long as the Outer Path Demon Statue absorbed three tailed beasts and Orochimaru was sealed away, there would be no one left in the shinobi world who could stand against Uchiha Madara.

After hearing Feng Tian's explanation, Uchiha Madara nodded thoughtfully. With his lifespan nearly spent, every action he took now had to remain tied to the Outer Path Demon Statue.

For this plan to be carried out, he would still have to rely on Feng Tian and Obito.

"Do as you said. Besides, that brat Obito should be back by now. For the rest, just deal directly with him."

After saying this, Uchiha Madara slowly closed his eyes and fell into slumber.

There was no helping it; at this point, conserving every last bit of movement was the best way to preserve what life remained.

Originally, he had wanted to wait for some future day when Obito would use Samsara of Heavenly Life to revive him. But now it seemed that, with Feng Tian's Time Reversal through the Heaven's Mandate Mangekyo Sharingan, there was no need to trouble himself so much.

Just then, a faint sound of footsteps came from outside.

Feng Tian turned around, and what entered his sight was Uchiha Obito, covered in blood, his eyes hollow and lifeless.

"You're back, Obito..."

"Mm..."

At this moment, Obito had only just endured the agony of losing Rin. He was in an extreme state of despair, endlessly doubting whether this filthy world still had any reason to exist. He did not even notice Feng Tian's presence at all.

"Uchiha Obito, let me introduce myself. My name is Uchiha Feng Tian. From now on, I will be your partner..."

Feng Tian politely extended his hand to Obito, but the latter ignored him completely.

Seeing this, Feng Tian did not grow angry. Instead, he spoke calmly, every word carrying absolute certainty:

"Obito, this world has no need to exist anymore. Come with me and create a new world."

At this, Obito raised his head. A glimmer of light flashed through those hollow eyes for the first time as he looked up at the stranger before him.

"A new world..."

He kept murmuring those words, then fixed his gaze on Feng Tian and slowly said, "I... want to create a world with Rin in it!"

"Tell me what I have to do..."

Feng Tian turned to look at Uchiha Madara. After receiving a slight nod of approval, he laid the entire Eye of the Moon plan out before Obito.

After hearing him out, Obito's eyes were no longer empty. He shouted toward Uchiha Madara, as if summoning every ounce of strength he had left:

"Give me power! I need power enough to create a new world!"

Seeing that the goal had been achieved, Feng Tian stepped aside. The aged Madara, upon seeing this, slowly rose to his feet, scythe in hand, and walked toward Obito.

"Very well. From this day on, you will begin training under me."

Obito said nothing. He simply activated his Mangekyo Sharingan, revealing his resolve to Madara.

"This eye's ability seems rather unusual..."

The aged Madara fixed his cloudy gaze on Obito's newly awakened Mangekyo Sharingan, and with only a glance, he sensed that those eyes contained an exceedingly special power.

Seeing that matters had already returned to their proper course, Feng Tian slowly spoke again:

"Obito, bring out Rin's body."

"What did you just say, you bastard?!"

At those words, Obito's eyes instantly shifted into Mangekyo Sharingan. His voice brimmed with fury, as though he would charge at Feng Tian and tear him apart the very next moment.

The aged Madara looked at Obito but did not stop him. He was also curious to see what Feng Tian would do next.

"You've misunderstood, Obito. I only need the chakra of the Three-Tails. I will not do anything to profane Rin."

Feng Tian spoke calmly. Even in the face of Obito's threat, he remained as composed as ever.

"This is something that must be done to make the Eye of the Moon plan possible. Only by obtaining power quickly can I create a new world with you as soon as possible."

Hearing this, Obito's expression eased somewhat. When Rin had just died, he had already sensed that there seemed to be a vast and strange chakra within her body.

He had not thought much of it, and had simply stored Rin's body together with that chakra inside Kamui's dimension.

After Feng Tian's explanation, he understood that this immense chakra was in fact the legendary chakra of the Three-Tails.

Thinking this over, Obito no longer bothered to press the matter. He said coldly to Feng Tian, with a faint hint of threat in his tone:

"Listen, I don't like you very much."

"But for the sake of the plan, I am willing to listen to you once. However, only this once!"

"I will extract the chakra myself. No one is to interfere!"

Hearing this, Feng Tian helplessly spread his hands. With his eyes, he told Obito that he did not care; as long as the objective was achieved, that was enough.

Then Obito left on his own and went to a hidden place to extract the chakra.

Since Rin was already dead, extracting the chakra did not take much effort.

Soon, Obito returned before the two of them, carrying a mass of extraordinarily pure Three-Tails chakra in his hands.

Seeing this, Feng Tian quickly looked toward the aged Madara. Immediately afterward, he once again activated Time Reversal through Cause and Effect, restoring Madara's power.

"Good. You did well, Obito..."

After a brief recovery of strength, Madara looked at Obito with approval, then took the Three-Tails chakra from his hands and tossed it straight into the Outer Path Demon Statue.

With a thunderous roar, the Outer Path Demon Statue let out a violent cry, and the Three-Tails chakra began to circulate through its body.

Seeing this, Feng Tian's lips curved slightly upward, and he thought to himself:

"Excellent. I'm beginning to look forward to just how far this power will rise this time..."
