Volume 1, Chapter 5: Shisui and Itachi Uchiha
“Arrived...”
Feng Tian muttered softly, his eyes flickering with a complex light.
He stood outside the Hidden Leaf Village, facing the familiar and majestic sight before him—towering houses intertwined with lush trees, composing a tranquil and serene scene.
He lifted his gaze, watching the massive barrier array shimmer faintly under the sunlight, like an invisible shield guarding the village’s peace and safety.
Without hesitation, Feng Tian took a deep breath and stepped forward resolutely, entering the barrier.
“Stop! Who are you?”
Nearby, a stern voice shattered the surrounding calm. Soon, several ninja wearing the Leaf Village forehead protectors swiftly approached him, their eyes filled with caution and hostility.
Feng Tian showed no sign of panic. He halted and calmly said, “My name is Uchiha Feng Tian, a member of the Uchiha clan.”
His tone was calm and natural, as if stating something utterly ordinary.
“Oh? An Uchiha, huh? Can you prove it?”
The Leaf ninja, hearing that Feng Tian was from the Uchiha clan, relaxed their expressions slightly.
They, too, were Uchihas, so naturally, they treated their clansman with a bit more warmth.
This was thanks in part to the arrangements of the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, who stationed the Uchiha clan members, originally at the village’s core, as guards on the outskirts.
Feng Tian smiled faintly upon hearing this. Then, his eyes swiftly transformed into the ordinary Three-Tomoe Sharingan, displaying it proudly to the guards.
As an Uchiha, nothing could better prove one's identity than the Sharingan!
Even if stolen, it would be impossible to manipulate it freely as Feng Tian did, further confirming without doubt his clan affiliation.
“Oh? Three-Tomoe, huh? Looks like you’re quite something, kid...”
After Feng Tian revealed his Three-Tomoe Sharingan, the once tense standoff eased considerably.
The Uchiha guards visibly relaxed, their eyes showing a trace of warmth and recognition upon seeing the iconic eyes.
“That’s nothing. Compared to Shisui, I’m far behind...”
Feng Tian said humbly, his voice filled with admiration for Shisui and Itachi.
“True enough. Not everyone can match that prodigy. For a young one like you to awaken the Three-Tomoe, your future achievements will surely be impressive!”
One guard patted Feng Tian on the shoulder earnestly.
“Heh, the future’s uncertain. So, may I enter the village now?”
“Go ahead...”
With that, the Uchiha guards parted, signaling Feng Tian to proceed.
Without hesitation, Feng Tian strode through the gate of the Hidden Leaf Village.
Notably, as he crossed the barrier, he felt a subtle anomaly, but he dismissed it without much thought.
Inside the village, seeing the familiar architecture, he began searching for Uchiha Shisui, following the experience from previous cycles of reincarnation.
......
Near a waterfall within the Hidden Leaf Village, the rushing water thundered like a storm, adding dynamic energy to the tranquil surroundings.
Beneath the cascade, two figures engaged in fierce combat—Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Shisui, two prodigious ninja locked in their daily sparring training.
“Ping! Ping! Ping!”
Shuriken traced silver arcs through the air, clashing with crisp sounds.
Each clash embodied their ultimate pursuit of speed and power.
“Shisui, your movements are getting faster.”
Itachi’s voice was calm and steady, maintaining intense focus even amid such high-intensity training.
“Itachi, your progress isn’t slow either.”
Shisui smiled, his eyes filled with affirming pride toward Itachi.
Both simultaneously activated their Sharingan; the crimson eyes sharp as hawks, vigilantly tracking every subtle movement, seeking fleeting openings.
Though both were genius clan members, Shisui often guided the younger Itachi during their battles.
After a fierce exchange, they quickly distanced themselves, preparing for the next offensive.
“Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!”
They shouted the same jutsu name nearly in unison; two massive fireballs collided midair, erupting dazzling light and terrifying energy that swept across the field.
Smoke and dust rose as Uchiha Itachi stood firm, trying to locate Shisui’s figure through his Sharingan.
Yet just as he readied his attack, a dagger silently pressed against his neck.
“Itachi, this time I win.”
Shisui smiled with a hint of pride.
Itachi, however, revealed a sly grin:
“Is that so?”
At the moment Shisui was about to confirm his victory, a loud bang resounded. As the dust settled, a kunai was firmly pressed against Shisui’s waist, restraining his movement.
“Substitution Jutsu? Itachi, you still love playing that trick.”
“But you’re not the only one who knows such a simple technique.”
With a faint smile, Shisui vanished into a puff of smoke.
In an instant, Itachi swept the kunai behind him; at the same time, Shisui’s dagger was drawn, both stabbing toward each other’s vital points almost simultaneously.
Yet, just before contact, they both withdrew, then looked at each other and smiled.
“Looks like another draw, Itachi...”
“It’s thanks to your teaching, Shisui. Otherwise, I couldn’t keep up with you...”
“Ha ha ha.”
Lying on the grass, they laughed heartily for an unknown length of time.
Shisui was the first to rise, gathering his belongings and then speaking:
“That’s enough training for today, Itachi...”
“All right...”
Itachi quickly stood, tidied himself, and prepared to return with Shisui.
Suddenly, an anomaly arose!
“Who’s there?”
Shisui and Itachi called out simultaneously, their voices firm with undeniable seriousness and vigilance.
Years of battle experience sharpened their senses to detect subtle environmental changes. Their instincts warned them danger was approaching.
With the sound of scattered footsteps, a figure slowly emerged from the shadows, gradually coming into their view.
It was Feng Tian!
“Finally found you, Uchiha Shisui...”
“And you, Uchiha Itachi...”
