Chapter 19
Bangkok, Thailand—
Jung Kishi carefully compared the address on his phone, scrutinizing his surroundings with a hint of uncertainty. He wasn’t quite sure if their “efforts” had truly led them to the right place. With one hand free, he occasionally tugged at the little one beside him, who was completely captivated by the novel sights.
“Eh…” he sighed with a touch of worry, feeling that taking public transport from the airport, as Yoon Seoyu had suggested, might not have been the wisest decision.
Thailand has a tropical monsoon climate. Before the trip, they had deliberately packed light clothing. Yet, by the time Jung Kishi and Yoon Seoyu arrived at their reserved hotel, sweat had dampened the backs of their shirts.
Seoyu’s spirits were clearly diminished compared to earlier—she looked listless, cheeks flushed, with fine beads of sweat on her fair face. Although the heat made Jung Kishi a bit irritable, seeing her occasionally stick out her tongue in discomfort made him smile involuntarily. He gently held her hand. “Let’s go.”
“We’ll shower and rest first once we get inside the hotel. Then, we can head out again when it cools down in the evening.”
Seoyu obediently nodded, then after a moment, quietly admitted her fault, “Sorry, if it weren’t for my wanting to ride the double-decker bus, we wouldn’t have wasted so much time.”
Jung Kishi chuckled, ruffling her hair, “What’s the big deal?”
“We’re on vacation after all. We should do everything we want. Who knows when we’ll come back next time?”
He wasn’t the most patient person. In his younger days, trips with girlfriends often ended in quarrels over trivial matters. Looking back, those things were really insignificant. He had matured since then, especially in this regard—no longer fussing over small things.
No wonder he felt that meeting Seoyu had come at just the right time.
Hearing this, Seoyu immediately smiled and squeezed Jung Kishi’s hand, tilting her head to nuzzle his shoulder. “Kishi-oppa, you’re so sweet.”
She never held back expressing affection; sweet words came naturally to her. “I like you so much, hehe~”
Jung Kishi cleared his throat, feigning annoyance, “Hey... don’t say such cheesy things.”
But the corners of his mouth almost stretched to his ears—he was clearly enjoying it.
The hotel they booked was near the Erawan Shrine, accessible by boat bus to Pratunam Market, and a ten-minute walk to Central Embassy. The hotel seemed recently renovated, featuring a simple and elegant modern Thai style. The suite was spacious, with a sizable terrace overlooking lush gardens and a shimmering blue pool.
Seoyu dashed eagerly to the bathroom upon entering. One big reason she disliked summer was the sweat. Though Bangkok’s December temperature wasn’t exactly high, the exhausting journey from the airport had left them drenched.
The bathroom had translucent light gray glass, not very soundproof. Jung Kishi paused momentarily while unpacking essentials when he heard the shower water hitting the floor.
Since they were traveling together, he hadn’t booked separate rooms—they were no longer kids, after all. Yet in that moment, the reality hit him: tonight... he would be sleeping with Seoyu?
He slapped his forehead, disgracing himself for the foolish thought. Of course, sleeping together meant sharing the same bed!
Unaware of his inner turmoil, Seoyu finished showering, only then realizing she’d rushed in without bringing her clothes.
Hesitating, she wrapped a towel around her shoulders and adjusted it carefully. Looking into the mirror, the girl with the fair complexion flushed by the steam, her graceful neck and shoulders exposed, subtle curves faintly visible beneath the towel, ran her fingers through wet hair droplets, satisfied. This body was exactly what she loved: healthy, well-proportioned, sexy, and beautiful.
“Little U.”
She suddenly spoke inwardly.
“What’s up?” came the lazy, slightly exasperated voice of the system, watching her self-admiring reflection.
“I think you’d better turn on the privacy shield now,” Seoyu said cheerfully, her smile deep and dimpled.
The system was momentarily speechless. “Y-y-you…”
Seoyu shrugged. “Just a friendly reminder. Whether you shield or not is up to you, anyway…” Her eyes curved into a knowing smile.
The system, with a pouty baby voice, reluctantly toggled the privacy shield on.
The bathroom door clicked open. Jung Kishi instinctively turned his head—and froze, pupils dilated. Seoyu stood there wrapped only in a towel barely covering her thighs, her glowing shoulders and neck exposed. She held her hair up with one hand, caught his gaze, and shyly stuck out her tongue. “I forgot to bring my clothes in.”
Jung Kishi’s gaze wavered. No clothes in meant she was wrapped only in that thin little towel, nothing underneath? His throat tightened involuntarily, a certain part of his body suddenly alert.
His voice became unsteady. “Uh... I’ve laid out your clothes over there.”
His movements stiffened, clearly struggling to suppress his desires, trying to act nonchalant. Yet glancing down at an unintended angle, his stance shifted awkwardly.
Seoyu raised an eyebrow, pouting in mild disappointment. Her slippers clicked sharply on the floor like a little tantrum. As she walked to get dressed, she deliberately glanced back, noticing Jung Kishi had “gentlemanly” turned his back. She frowned, clearly displeased.
Still caught up in his self-disgust, Jung Kishi didn’t notice her mood shift until the sounds of dressing ceased. Turning around, he found Seoyu sitting there with wet hair dripping, cheeks puffed, silent.
He picked up the hairdryer and went over, reaching to touch her damp hair, muttering, “How can you not dry your hair?”
“If girls don’t dry their hair, the cold gets in and it’s bad for their health…” Before he finished, she looked up at him, cheeks puffed in a pout.
“How do you know that?”
“Hm?”
Seoyu pouted, suddenly acting coy despite never having thrown a tantrum before. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she stared at Jung Kishi. “Oppa, since you know so much about women, you must have dated many wonderful girls, right?”
Jung Kishi opened his mouth, then shut it cautiously. His survival instinct warned him not to answer casually. Besides, a rich dating history was hardly a point of pride. So he scratched his nose and replied vaguely, “Not many…”
Unexpectedly, this ambiguous answer only made her angrier. Her clear, intense eyes silently accused him, glaring without a word.
Realization dawned on Jung Kishi—was she angry? Or jealous? If she was jealous, he felt glad—jealousy meant she cared. But why all of a sudden?
He pondered carefully, recalling his recent actions—there’d been nothing to provoke suspicion.
His silence upset Seoyu, her mouth drooping, eyes misting with tears. She looked pitiful, as if on the verge of crying.
Jung Kishi panicked, bending down to cup her face gently. His voice was low, tender, tinged with urgency. “What’s wrong? Why are you crying all of a sudden?”
She sulked, voice plaintive. “Oppa… am I not attractive enough?”
He was momentarily stunned and puzzled, a big question mark in his mind. The unexpected question almost made him laugh, but since she was about to cry, he held back with all his might. “Why would you think that?”
“Is it because my figure isn’t good? Or that I’m not pretty enough?” Three quick questions left Jung Kishi speechless. Who would believe that?
“No,” he sighed, pressing a hand to his forehead. “Where did you get that idea from?”
He wiped the tears from her eyes and said softly, “Our Seoyu is the most beautiful, with a great figure and irresistible charm.”
“You weren’t looking at me just now!” Seoyu pouted, glaring at him angrily. Before Jung Kishi could respond, she added, “Don’t you want to sleep with me?”
Jung Kishi was dumbfounded, only catching on after a moment. “You’re mad about that?”
Her tone was confident and assertive. “Of course. We’ve been dating so long, and you never take the initiative!” Her clear voice bubbled with self-righteousness.
Jung Kishi remained silent, pressing his tongue against his cheek. His gaze darkened, his entire demeanor shifting dramatically. If he’d been a gentle, humorous older brother moments ago, now he became fiercely assertive—almost intimidating.
Seoyu pursed her lips, slowly shifting sideways, only to be pulled back by Jung Kishi’s arm. Her eyes widened in surprise, a soft gasp caught in her throat as she stared at him foolishly.
“Me? Not taking the initiative?”
“Not looking at you?”
He didn’t seem to want an answer. His deep voice accompanied a lowered face, his sharp nose pressing firmly against her cheek. Jung Kishi’s eyes narrowed. “You want to sleep, don’t you?”
Seoyu suddenly felt a little intimidated, giving a dry smile and shaking her head timidly. “Le-let’s go out and play first!”
She tried to slip from his embrace, but before she could, Jung Kishi lifted her up.
Yes, he carried her off. The perspective flipped instantly. Instinctively, she flailed. “W-what are you doing!?”
The only response was a sharp smack on her backside and his gritted, growling voice: “To bed!”
His passionate kisses fell like a storm, pinning Seoyu firmly in his arms as she lay helpless on the pale gray sheets. These were the ones Jung Kishi had swapped earlier, having brought his own linens, concerned the hotel’s might not be clean.
He wasn’t usually meticulous, but with such a treasure by his side, he’d learned to care about such details.
Was he tired? Jung Kishi admitted he was—a rough, carefree man from Busan becoming considerate and thoughtful. But thinking of Seoyu, the fatigue seemed worthwhile.
The intense kisses softened gradually. Jung Kishi’s lips traced from her forehead downward, each touch filled with reverence. Their bodies pressed close; only Seoyu sensed the subtle changes. She gazed foolishly at his gentle face above, surprised that the man who had seemed so composed moments ago had suddenly become so passionate.
Jung Kishi was extraordinarily tender, sensing from prior intimacy that Seoyu was inexperienced. He spared no effort to please her, and before the main event began, she had already been overwhelmed several times.
In a daze, she watched him sit up calmly, preparing himself. She wondered how he’d produced what he wore—she hadn’t seen him pack it.
Pleasure inevitably mingled with some pain, but the intensity was minimal. A faint sheen of sweat on Jung Kishi’s brow caught the warm light, making him look especially alluring. His possessive gaze fixed on her, sending strange tingles and indescribable delight through her.
“This time, you really won’t be able to leave me so easily,” Jung Kishi whispered in her ear.
Until she drifted into sleep, Seoyu thought back to the last time she told Little U that Jung Kishi’s kissing was good. Now, she had to revise that—this man was clearly in a league of his own in bed.
