Chapter 2

Yin Xiyu paused as she was about to start the car, then picked up her phone and stared at the message on the screen, pondering seriously. SD? Who was SD? From her limited memories, the original owner didn’t seem to have a friend by that name. Her pale, slender fingers tapped lightly; the contact’s profile picture was of a cute, pretty child with curved eyebrows and eyes, likely some kind of internet-famous adorable kid. Yin Xiyu didn’t give it much thought. There was no useful information on the Kakao profile of the contact named SD, making it impossible to identify them.
Looking at the invitation to grab a meal, she hesitated briefly and quietly asked Xiao U, “Do you know who SD is?”
The childish voice responded coldly, “I don’t know. Please explore on your own, Xixi.”
Well, the system even automatically switched to Korean. Yin Xiyu rolled her eyes, taking advantage of the fact that the other side couldn’t see her expression to act as she pleased.
Her fingers danced across the keyboard.
“Sorry, I have plans tonight.”
Not knowing the situation, she naturally chose to play it safe.
In the break room of AOMG, a man in a black hoodie sat leisurely in a chair, leaning back slightly, resting his feet on the caster wheels of the floor as he slid them rhythmically side to side. He possessed a strikingly memorable handsome face, with deep contours, thick eyebrows, and big eyes—not the typical pale and delicate Korean beauty but rather a ruggedly masculine, somewhat aggressive look.
The break room door opened from outside, and when Loco stepped in, he paused, looking around in surprise. “Bro, what are you doing at the company? Is there filming for ‘My Own’ today too?” As AOMG’s tallest member, Loco’s appearance wasn’t conventionally handsome, but his features were neat and proper, and his ever-smiling face gave off a lovable, goofy vibe.
Jung Ki-shi nodded absentmindedly and then shook his head. Just then, his phone rang. He glanced down at the incoming message with a flicker of mild disappointment.
Loco, standing beside him and gazing curiously at the phone, recognized the familiar avatar. His eyes lit up. “Oh! Is this the girl from last night?”
“Didn’t expect even you to have someone you can’t get a date with, kkkkkk.” He habitually teased, then quickly dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding a kick from Jung Ki-shi. Feeling smug about his foresight, Loco smiled triumphantly.
Jung Ki-shi laughed silently. “Come here, I promise I won’t hit you.”
His Busan accent was obvious when he spoke, combined with his naturally deep and husky voice, making it as recognizable as his handsome face.
Recalling the girl from the club last night, honestly, the dim lighting had blurred her face in his memory. He only remembered her bright eyes and… a very nice figure.
Jung Ki-shi’s expression became somewhat complicated, as if hiding something. He picked up his phone and replied to the message. Regardless, since she had approached him first last night, he was quite interested in pursuing things further and thought it necessary to show some concern.
“You seemed to drink quite a bit last night. Are you okay today?”
Meanwhile, Yin Xiyu, just arriving at the supermarket, saw this message. Suddenly, vague memories surged back. Last night, she had been coaxed by friends to go clubbing and drank quite a lot—not because anyone forced her, but the body she now inhabited was both inexperienced and fond of having fun, stubbornly refusing to back down. As a result, she got drunk, not only overindulging but also, encouraged by her friends, ended up flirting with the man in the next room.
Yin Xiyu’s mouth twitched. Since she was drunk and confused, the memory was fuzzy, explaining why she hadn’t recalled it earlier. Her mental image of the man was blurred, only remembering his voice sounded quite distinctive.
Embarrassed, she quickly deleted the contact. Drunkenly approaching a stranger at a club was a dark secret for an aspiring actress like her… Luckily, the club was dark and dingy, and her outfit and makeup last night were drastically different from her usual style. Even if she became famous later, the other party probably wouldn’t recognize her.
Delete. Delete quickly!
Jung Ki-shi, preparing to eat with Loco and Gray, glanced at his phone a few times but received no reply. Lee Seong, aka Gray, slowed his pace and lightly nudged him on the elbow. “What’s wrong, bro?”
Jung Ki-shi shook his head. “Nothing, let’s go. Where to hang out tonight? The usual place?”
He hadn’t given it much thought, assuming the other person was busy and unaware that he had already been deleted.
After wandering the supermarket for a long time, Yin Xiyu winced at the long string of numbers on the checkout bill. Forgive her; she hadn’t yet broken free from the mindset of the Chinese yuan and found the Korean won’s “cheapness” hard to get used to. But the prices for fruits and vegetables in Korea were absurd—more expensive than meat even...
That said, Yin Xiyu still bought plenty. At this moment, she was grateful the original owner’s family was wealthy; otherwise, she really couldn’t afford such extravagance.
A week later, filming of “Crash Landing on Love” officially began.
Page 2/3
Yin Xiyu’s early scenes were few. Even so, she followed the crew’s schedule daily, clocking in on set on time and watching Hyun Bin and Son Yejin perform. Being unemployed herself, she had nothing else to do but work hard. As for her destined person in this world, Xiao U had mentioned that all destined people in the Korean branch were somehow connected to the entertainment industry. So far, she had no leads, at least indicating that her destined person wasn’t in this crew. She could only focus on her career while waiting for that person to appear.
“Crash Landing on Love” told the story of a South Korean chaebol heiress, Yoon Se-ri, who, while paragliding, was caught in a hurricane and accidentally landed in North Korea, where she was discovered and protected by top-tier officer Ri Jeong-hyuk. Their romance unfolded through a series of misunderstandings and fate.
Yin Xiyu appeared in episode three, playing a cellist who had studied abroad, born into a high-ranking official family. Her costumes were mostly exquisite and elegant, her black hair softly curled, and makeup focused on cool tones to reduce the original innocent look, giving her a more aloof appearance. Initially, her character “Seo Dan” was clearly marked as arrogant in the script. However, after the script meeting, Yin Xiyu received a revised version where her arrogance seemed to have shifted to tsundere. Though surprised, she had no objection—after all, tsundere was definitely more likable than arrogance.
Korean dramas differed from what she had known before, adopting a live-shoot-and-broadcast system. For producers, this allowed them to adjust the storyline based on audience feedback. For actors, especially supporting ones, the downside was that if viewers disliked their character, their screen time might be reduced.
But this was no crisis for Yin Xiyu. After episode three aired, topics related to her began appearing on Naver’s trending search list. Though not at the very top, the discussion was lively.
“Is Seo Dan played by a rookie actress? I’ve never seen her before, but she’s really pretty.”
“I felt the same watching last night! She’s tall and seems to have a great figure, kkkkk.”
“Looks pretty young, probably a rookie? Name is… Yin Xiyu?”
“I looked her up; she’s a rookie from Management Soop. After episode three aired last night, the company's website released her profile! Born in ’95!”
“Hiss… definitely tall, 170 cm, and born abroad too.”
“She’s my type, hehe. Hope she’s not some typical evil fiancée!”
“No way, she’s obviously tsundere and cute.”
“The official photos on the website are so beautiful! When you compare actors and idols separately, the difference isn’t so obvious, but these simple photos highlight the distinction!”
“Found Xiyu’s Instagram! She’s an ENFP?! I thought she was an introvert from the show… Her Insta is hilarious, kkkkkk.”
“After scrolling through her Insta, I’m sure she’s an ENFP. Just like me, always taking pictures of beautiful skies and clouds… Excited and happy during the day, sad at night, kkkkkk, she’s totally my other self!”
In Korea, MBTI personality typing had become popular in recent years. It categorized people as introverts (I) or extroverts (E). ENFP referred to the “Campaigner” type—charming, energetic, curious, empathetic, and affectionately called “happy puppies” by netizens.
On set, Lim Hye-jin opened Yin Xiyu’s Instagram after seeing the trending comments. She scrolled endlessly through the feed, lost in thought.
“Xiyu.”
The girl, typing away on a small chair nearby, suddenly lifted her head. Her almond-shaped eyes were round and clear, resembling a small animal.
“Huh?!”
Lim Hye-jin tried to explain, “As an actress, you need to keep a bit of mystery. If you’re too active online, viewers find it harder to immerse themselves in your character during the drama. Do you understand what I mean?”
Yin Xiyu thought for a moment, pursed her lips, and nodded obediently, sensing some truth in that.
Lim Hye-jin smiled in satisfaction. “So try to post less on Insta when you’re not filming, okay?”
The young girl nodded and skillfully gave an “OK” hand sign.
Lim Hye-jin returned to the homepage and habitually refreshed it. At the top was a post from the girl just a minute ago.
Heewooooo: [Photo][Photo] Today’s clouds look like Jelly’s butt :)
Jelly was Yin Xiyu’s American Shorthair cheese-colored cat, currently living with her parents in the US. Due to paperwork issues, Jelly hadn’t yet flown to Korea.

Lim Hye-jin’s mouth twitched as she turned to look at Yin Xiyu, meeting the girl’s innocent gaze.
“It’s filming season now; posting a little won’t hurt, right, unnie?”
What else could she do? The artist was her own; she had to spoil her.
“Crash Landing on Love” wasn’t just popular among ordinary viewers but had become a hot topic among many entertainers. For example, Jung Ki-shi had repeatedly seen Loco’s Instagram story posts filled with clips from the drama. The guy was obsessed, sometimes even watching the show on an iPad at work.
Passing by, Jung Ki-shi caught a glimpse of the smile on Loco’s face and shuddered.
“Yah, Kwon Hyuk-woo, if you’re going to watch TV, just watch it. Stop making that disgusting face.”
Loco looked wronged and hit pause. “Bro! It’s really good!! Are you sure you don’t want to watch?”
Jung Ki-shi shook his head firmly. “Don’t try to trap me.”
Loco pouted, muttering quietly, “Our Seo Dan is pretty and cute. You’re missing out by not watching.”
He dragged the progress bar back to a spot he had already seen several times, admiring the pleasing scene. Watching, he mumbled, “Why does it feel so familiar…”
Jung Ki-shi, long gone, didn’t hear him. Loco shook his head. Indeed, beauty was always the same; only ugliness stood out.
As “Crash Landing on Love” aired, Yin Xiyu’s Instagram followers surged. The show’s viewership ratings were excellent and steadily rising. Her character Seo Dan, paired with the second male lead Goo Seung-joon, won many fans. She also landed her first endorsement deal with the Korean outdoor brand K2.
Once the commercial aired, it sparked discussions online, and sales of the featured jackets soared.
“I never thought jackets looked good before, but they look so different on Xiyu!”
“The ocean’s all water; Xiyu’s all legs~”
“I love that figure! Healthy and beautiful.”
“Got the same one.”
“Lately, all my classmates are watching ‘Crash Landing on Love.’ Xiyu’s popularity is really high.”
“When will she star as the lead? She must act alongside a handsome male actor.”
“Not just handsome, but tall too, kkk.”
“Oh! The news says Xiyu will appear as a guest observer on ‘Transit Love 2’!”
“Wow, I loved ‘Transit 1’! With Xiyu this time, I’ll definitely watch the whole thing!”
At this moment, Yin Xiyu was lying leisurely in her apartment’s massage chair, wearing a face mask and carefully studying the script sent by her manager sister.
Transit... Love?
