Chapter 15: The Annihilation of the Grandmaster of the Tai Long Sect! (Please Recommend, Bookmark, and Follow)
Inside the Tai Long Sect, silence reigned. Within a palace, Li Xuan took a sip of tea. The Dawn Moon Sanctuary was sending people—then he would give them a surprise and, at the same time, test the waters while accumulating villain points.
Li Xuan raised his hand, and a decree materialized—it was the Imperial Decree of the Great Emperor.
After a moment’s thought, he reached out and erased some elements, transforming the decree into an ordinary letter. Now, all that remained was to find a messenger to deliver it.
“Kill everyone inside the Tai Long Sect. Send the message to Ye Bufan,” Li Xuan instructed Li Zhan, the head of the Li family.
Li Zhan immediately set off with excitement. This time, wiping out the Tai Long Sect would bring the Li family great gains.
The disciples and elders of the Tai Long Sect fell into a deathly silence, and soon, their fate arrived.
They were slaughtered one by one!
“Ah!!” The Sect Master of Tai Long watched the carnage, his eyes bloodshot with rage, roaring in agony. He glared at Li Xuan. “Li Xuan! Bufan will never forgive you! He will kill you and offer sacrifices for us!”
Li Xuan stood with his hands behind his back, smiling faintly as he looked at the Tai Long Sect Master. “You expect a cripple to kill me? You overestimate Ye Bufan. He can barely protect himself now.”
The Tai Long Sect Master spat a mouthful of blood. “W-why is this happening?!”
He muttered as he gazed upon the blood-soaked hall of the Tai Long Sect, bewildered by how everything had come to this.
He had merely fought for his brother Bufan’s marriage—how did his sect end up destroyed?
Li Xuan reached out, extinguishing the Sect Master’s remaining life force. As for the Master’s questions, Li Xuan saw no obligation to answer.
“Ancestor, what about Mo Yao?” Li Zhan approached respectfully, asking.
Li Xuan glanced at Mo Yao, who stood disheveled, glaring furiously. How dare Li Xuan kill all the Tai Long Sect disciples!
Once her ancestor arrived, she would ruthlessly massacre Li Xuan!
Mo Yao’s fury burned within her. She had never suffered such humiliation before. The wretched Li Xuan had even crippled her brother Bufan!
Grinding her teeth, she stared daggers at Li Xuan.
She vowed to beat him half to death and deliver him to her brother Bufan. She was her father’s beloved daughter and the cherished granddaughter of her ancestor!
“Wait a little longer,” Li Xuan said casually.
…
Within the Tai Long Sect, rivers of blood flowed. Only members of the Li family and the guests who had come to witness remained.
The guests, who had gathered to observe the Tai Long Sect disciples’ assembly, were now as silent as quails, wishing they could bury their heads like ostriches.
They fervently hoped to be forgotten.
The Li family had truly annihilated the Tai Long Sect—they had witnessed the entire process!
Even with the presence of the Dawn Moon Sanctuary and the Saint Family Mo Clan, the Li family’s ancestor had still ordered the slaughter!
The scene was terrifying.
At this moment, the guests desperately wanted to leave, anticipating the imminent arrival of powerful figures from the Dawn Moon Sanctuary and the Mo Clan.
They naturally had no confidence in the Li family—after all, these were the Dawn Moon Sanctuary and the Mo Clan!
The Dawn Moon Sanctuary was a vast power, capable of summoning a dozen Harmonious Dao cultivators at any time, as well as immortal elders who were likely saints themselves.
…
And the Mo Clan needed only a single saint to be formidable.
Hadn’t they heard that the woman was the eldest daughter of the Mo Clan?
It was likely that a saint from the Mo Clan would soon descend!
An elder of the Li family walked over, casting a glance at the guests. “Everyone, please follow me.”
Suddenly, a sect elder collapsed to the ground, trembling uncontrollably.
Swallows of nervous saliva echoed as everyone broke into a cold sweat, their hairs standing on end. They shared a single thought: It was over!
The Li family intended to silence them!
None dared resist. With the Li family’s ancestor present, they were like fish on a chopping block, at others’ mercy.
A young girl bit her lip, tears welling in her eyes as she clung to her senior sister’s sleeve. The visiting sect and family heads marched mechanically, following behind the Li elder.
Soon, they arrived at the gates of the Tai Long Sect with faces ashen.
The Li family not only planned to kill them but also intended to send a warning to others. Bitterly, they thought—if this isn’t a warning, then what is?
They had merely come to witness the ceremony, yet, despite not being Tai Long Sect members, they were to be killed!
Li Yun said calmly, “Everyone, please take your leave.”
Silence fell.
“Li… Elder Li, can you spare the younger disciples?” a sect master stammered nervously, overwhelmed with fear.
Li Yun paused, scanning the crowd. He laughed bitterly. “You have misunderstood. The Li family does not intend to kill you. We are letting you go.”
The guests were stunned, exchanging looks of disbelief. A sect master cautiously asked, “Elder, are you serious?”
Li Yun nodded. “This is the order of our ancestor, Li Xuan. However,” he paused, looking at the guests, “we hope you understand what can be said and what cannot. This is not the opinion of the ancestor, but mine—I am a junior, and I cannot tarnish the ancestor’s reputation.”
“Of course, of course.”
“Indeed, indeed.”
“Ancestor Li is a paragon of grace and charm. Who dares speak ill of him? I would be the first to object!”
“The ancestor’s reputation must be protected by us!”
Instantly, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. They had nearly believed they were doomed.
“Please, go where you will.”
Li Yun finished speaking and led the Li family away.
The guests finally awoke from a nightmare, feeling as if they had been dreaming. They never expected to emerge alive—let alone be sent out!
An old sect master heaved a great sigh. “Goodness, you scared me to death!”
His disciple asked, “Sect Master, the Li family didn’t kill us. Why were you so afraid?”
The old sect master glanced at his naïve disciple. “You don't understand. The Li family spared us out of kindness. If it had been another sect or sanctuary, just hearing about this would have meant our deaths!”
“That’s true, the Li family is kind-hearted.”
“That’s right. We must protect Elder Li’s reputation.”
A group of sect and family heads echoed these sentiments, fully submitting.
The disciples, however, did not understand.
Li family kind-hearted? Ridiculous.
The Li family had slaughtered so many—kind-hearted? Well, at least they were still alive.
“Unfortunately, good people don’t live long. I hope the Li family can survive what’s to come.”
“Unlikely. That’s a saint we’re talking about. In our era, the Great Emperor is rumored to have little time left. One saint can suppress everything!”
“And the Dawn Moon Sanctuary! Its heritage is profound and terrifying!”
“Ye Bufan of the Tai Long Sect was truly doomed! The destruction of Tai Long Sect is no surprise with such a sect master and disciples.”
They discussed as they hurried away; Tai Long Sect was perilous, with powerful beings from the Dawn Moon Sanctuary and the Mo Clan ready to arrive at any moment.

In a large city near the Tai Long Sect, the streets remained bustling. Street vendors continued their trade, unwilling to leave, clinging to hope—what if the Tai Long Sect had won?
Those who had emerged earlier included disciples from the Tai Long Sect and the Su family, all crippled, their fates unknown.
With their cultivation shattered and reduced to mortals, survival was uncertain in this realm filled with demons and monsters.
“Someone’s coming out! Guests from the Tai Long Sect disciples’ assembly!” someone exclaimed, watching a group entering the city.
Immediately, familiar voices called out, “Sect Master Chen, Family Head Zhou, you attended the Tai Long Sect disciples’ assembly. How is it inside? Did Tai Long Sect win?”
This was the prevailing assumption. After all, these people had come out alive—surely, Tai Long Sect had won!
Otherwise, why would the Li family, who destroyed Tai Long Sect, allow these people to leave?
Sect Master Chen, dignified and composed with a neatly trimmed beard, said nothing yet.
The city was abuzz with speculation.
“Looks like Tai Long Sect won. I wonder which of them made the move!”
“Phew, that really scared me. The Li family struck so fiercely, shattering the great Tai Long formation, but still couldn’t win.”
Street vendors sighed in relief, some sneering.
Upstairs, a young girl looked up, disappointment creasing her face as she pouted.
An elder patted her hair. “Why so disappointed? Didn’t grandpa say? Tai Long Sect is still strong!”
“Hmph,” the girl muttered quietly. “Grandpa, what if the Li family prevails instead?”
The elder chuckled.
Others in the room continued their discussion, seated around the same table of four.
“Everyone, it seems Tai Long Sect won. Shall we go congratulate them?” a man with a moustache smiled knowingly.
“Not necessarily. These are just our guesses. Sect Master Chen and others haven’t spoken yet,” someone countered.
“Hah, you just love to argue. If it weren’t Tai Long Sect’s victory, why else would the Li family come out of the shadows to win? Don’t be naive!” the moustached man retorted.
“Sect Master Chen, it must be Tai Long Sect, right?” someone asked loudly.
“If it’s not Tai Long Sect, then the Li family!?” another shouted, sparking laughter.
Sect Master Chen and Family Head Zhou exchanged glances, their expressions strange.
