Thoughts Upon Publication
I hadn’t originally planned to write a launch reflection for this book, but after some consideration, I decided it was worth saying a few words.
This novel serves as a supplement to the world of the natives, though that might not be apparent just yet. Soon, however, its significance will become clear.
Of course, the book’s performance hasn’t been ideal—in fact, it’s been quite poor. There are many reasons for this, but ultimately, the responsibility lies with me. I tried to reveal the central theme before the proper pacing allowed it, which resulted in inadequate groundwork and insufficient storytelling. The plot moves slowly, yet gives a false impression of rapid progress.
Still, there’s time to correct course. The story, in essence, is just beginning.
I want to thank North River and Dust Brush for their generous support, and I’m grateful to all the readers who have accompanied me so far.
I knew the book’s reception might be modest, but I still wish to keep writing and hope for your support. If you could subscribe—even if just for the first chapter—or perhaps cast a monthly ticket or recommendation vote, I would be deeply appreciative!
At midnight, the book will officially launch!
Reflections on the release of “Awakening After Sleep”—please bear with me as I finish typing. Once the content is updated, refresh the page to receive the latest chapters.
