As the two men ate, Jiang Fan kept criticizing the Great Xuan Inn. Whenever he clinked glasses with Steward Guo Chaoyun, he deliberately raised his cup higher, making Steward Guo’s expression increasingly ugly.
Jiang Fan was doing it all on purpose. In particular, raising one’s cup while clinking glasses was an extremely rude gesture, one generally dared only by someone of superior status.
Sure enough, when their cups met, Jiang Fan’s action made Steward Guo’s face especially unsightly.
Even so, Steward Guo forcibly held back his anger, squeezed out a smile uglier than a grimace, and continued drinking with Jiang Fan.
After eating and drinking his fill, Jiang Fan was thoroughly intoxicated. He shouted, “Old Guo, I came to eat at your place to show you respect. As for the bill, I’m not paying it! Now I want to test the spell I just learned, so don’t disappoint me.”
Before Steward Guo could say a word, Jiang Fan unleashed the full power of the Azure Wood Seal. A gigantic green wooden seal, nearly a meter across, appeared in the air, vastly more powerful than the one he had used against Wang Gang.
Jiang Fan knew that he absolutely could not afford to be careless when facing a martial artist at the perfected Acquired Realm. He also wanted to know exactly how powerful his strongest attack truly was.
“You…” Steward Guo was horrified. While Jiang Fan was gathering the power of the Azure Wood Seal, he hurriedly circulated all his true qi into his right fist and struck out.
With all of Steward Guo’s true qi poured into it, the punch manifested a fist projection three inches long, which shot directly toward Jiang Fan’s Azure Wood Seal.
Bang!
However, the Azure Wood Seal was simply too powerful. It shattered Steward Guo’s fist projection outright, and its terrifying force sent his body flying backward.
Pfft!
Steward Guo’s body flipped over two dining tables and numerous chairs before crashing heavily onto the hard floor. Cracks instantly spread across the boards. He violently coughed up a large mouthful of blood, his entire aura collapsing in an instant, his face deathly pale.
“How… how is this possible? You… you only recently stepped onto the path of cultivation. How can you possibly be this strong?” Steward Guo spoke in disbelief, his voice broken by his severe injuries yet filled with terror.

Clearly, he knew something about Jiang Fan. He knew that Jiang Fan had only recently entered the world of cultivation, yet he had never imagined that Jiang Fan could defeat him.
Now, fear filled his eyes as he looked at Jiang Fan.
“Not bad. The spell my master taught me is indeed formidable.” A murderous glint flashed through Jiang Fan’s eyes. “Old Guo, release all the innocent women you’ve captured. Otherwise, the next time I come back, your injuries will be the least of your problems!”
“Young Master Jiang… those women are one of the main sources of income for the Great Xuan Inn. If I release them, I… I truly won’t be able to answer to the three chiefs of the Wild Wolf Gang!” Steward Guo’s pale face was filled with hesitation.
“I told you to release them, so release them. How dare you disobey me? Are you tired of living? Do you know who stands behind me? The three chiefs of the Wild Wolf Gang may be powerful, but before my master, they are nothing.” Jiang Fan’s voice was cold. “Remember this: if I see even one innocent woman at the Great Xuan Inn next time, I’ll tear the whole place down.”
Jiang Fan was no saint. He was doing this to cut off the Great Xuan Inn’s main source of income and further intensify the conflict between the Wild Wolf Gang and Old Demon Xu.
He believed that what he had done on South Peace Street today would soon reach the ears of the Wild Wolf Gang’s three chiefs—and would also be reported to Old Demon Xu.
“Could… could this truly be Immortal Xu’s order?” Suspicion filled Steward Guo’s eyes. Then, as though he had suddenly understood something, he hurriedly said, “Young Master Jiang, rest assured. I… I will do exactly as you say! I only hope that you and Immortal Xu won’t hold this against me.”
“In that case, I’ll be leaving. Take care of yourself!” After saying this, Jiang Fan wasted no more words and walked straight out of the Great Xuan Inn.
Once Jiang Fan had left, Steward Guo struggled to climb up from the floor. A vicious glint flickered briefly in his eyes.
“That brat actually dares to show such disrespect toward me. And he even wants to cut off the Great Xuan Inn’s source of income… Could this really be Immortal Xu’s command?
“The three chiefs were right. It seems Immortal Xu is preparing to move against the Wild Wolf Gang… I must inform the chiefs immediately. Our plan to deal with Immortal Xu may have to be brought forward!”
Steward Guo’s expression was hideous. He immediately summoned a subordinate of the Wild Wolf Gang and ordered him to deliver the message.
By then, Jiang Fan was already striding toward the Moonlit Pavilion.
“The Bliss Powder of the Moonlit Pavilion is their lifeblood. Since I’m going to offend them completely, I may as well burn up another batch of their Bliss Powder!” Jiang Fan smiled faintly and hurried onward.

Before long, the newly delivered batch of Bliss Powder at the Moonlit Pavilion was burned to ashes by Jiang Fan. Yet no one inside dared to stop him.
The reason was simple: Jiang Fan had immediately unleashed the Azure Wood Seal, easily destroying the Moonlit Pavilion’s entrance. Even its thick wooden signboard had been smashed to pieces.
“I imagine word of my wrecking all three of the Wild Wolf Gang’s major businesses will reach them very soon. I’d better hurry back. If the three chiefs lose their tempers and attack me, things could become troublesome.” Jiang Fan did not linger on South Peace Street and immediately returned to the Wild Wolf Gang.
What he did not know was that the Wild Wolf Gang’s Third Chief happened to be in South Peace Street on business that day. He learned at once that Jiang Fan had caused trouble there.
At that moment, the Third Chief of the Wild Wolf Gang was waiting in a small forest along the only road Jiang Fan could take back to the gang. His expression was dark, his eyes filled with malice.
“Jiang Fan, you little bastard. You’ve only just crossed the threshold into cultivation, yet you dare to run wild on my Wild Wolf Gang’s territory twice. Today, I’ll kill you first, then go kill that cheap excuse for a master of yours!”
The Third Chief, Ling Shanhe, was filled with murderous intent. He was merely waiting for Jiang Fan to pass by so that he could deliver a fatal strike.
Wang Gang stood beside him and quietly said, “Third Chief, Jiang Fan told me earlier that everything he has done was to prevent Immortal Xu from becoming suspicious. In truth, he also wants to join forces with us to deal with Immortal Xu.”
“Oh? Are you certain that brat truly wants to cooperate with us against Immortal Xu?” the Third Chief asked.
“I believe there’s a very good chance. According to what he told me, he seems to have discovered that none of Immortal Xu’s disciples met a good end. He must have figured something out,” Wang Gang hurriedly replied.
“Giving the brat a chance wouldn’t be out of the question. If he is truly willing to join us, then with our forces working from within and without, our chances of killing Immortal Xu will be much greater.” The Third Chief’s voice was cold. “However, if he wants to cooperate with us, he must first prove himself worthy.
“When we meet him, I’ll unleash my full strength. If he can withstand the might of my strongest strike, I’ll give him that opportunity. But if he cannot, he’ll become another soul beneath my blade.”
